Disposals Class 43(HST)
Both the prototype power cars saw use as departmental vehicles after withdrawal and whilst 43000 made it into preservation 43001 ended its days in Booth's at Rotherham during 1990. The first standard HST power car removed from traffic was 43173 withdrawn during December 1998. Many Class 43s (HST Power Cars) are still in service. The most recent disposal recorded here is 43019 which was scrapped during July 2005.
