Class 07 D2988 D2991 D2992 and D2998, the four members of the Class not renumbered into the 07 series, were all withdrawn in May 1973. 07003 07009 and 07010 became the first of the 07 series numbered members of the Class removed from traffic being withdrawn in October 1976. The remaining six members of the Class were withdrawn en bloc in July 1977. Six Class 07s have entered preservation. BREL at Eastleigh scrapped three examples, one has been exported whilst three others went on into industrial use before being disposed of. The last Class 07 disposal was 07002 scrapped during November 1986 although the fate of 07009 remains unknown. |
