The orange pair are back out but the GBRf duo have been taken off. This morning's 6Z20 Barrow Hill to Derby comprised 20096 20107 20311 and 20314 (all GBEE). After working to Etches Park they go to Litchurch Lane then resume tube stock movements with the 7X09 working.

Strangers at Warrington...
At Warrington this morning were 59103 (XYPA) - this was released from Crewe EMD yesterday - and Euroshed 66211 (WBEN) which has been brought north from Bescot.

GBEE 20s...
20096 20107 20901 and 20905 returned to Barrow Hill on the 26th. The four Class 20s, with one of the pairs possibly swapped out for a return of the orange duo, for stock moves are scheduled to return south tomorrow from Barrow hill to Derby.

Longport extraction/delivery...
Most likely the collection of 66082 (WNWX) from Longport and the depositing there of 67011 (WNWX).

For use by Bulmarket in Bulgaria 87009 and 87025 are going along with 87017 and 87023. 87009 and 87025 are going to be refurbished in Bulgaria and put into service as soon as possible. Europhoenix staff will be overseeing their repairs. Europhoenix are looking at the possibility of setting up a permanent base to look after the various ex UK locomotives now/and to be in use abroad. Work at long Marston is concentrating on the FLOYD Class 86 program.

86233 (EPXX) currently at Long Marston has been identified as a spares donor for Bulgaria and will be shipped abroad at some point.

Next for FLOYD...
Following the release of 86217 (FLOYD 6) from refurbishment at Long Marston attention can now turn to the next Class 86 to be readied for use with FLOYD which will be 86228 (EPXS).

WCRC are facilitating these transfers. The northbound run from Southall to Willesden then on to Long Marston running at 0Z36 whilst the return from Long Marston to Willesden running as 0Z87.

A new pool group has been formed for DBS Class 92s for use or being used in Bulgaria. 92025 and 92027 at Crewe EMD have been reallocated to WTEB from WNTR whilst 92034 already out in Bulgaria has been reallocated from WNTS to the WTEB pool..

It has been indicated that the three Euro style Class 66s for GBRf are going to be prepared in Germany for use in the UK.

09106 (WSSI) from Hams Hall has been transported to Warrington swapping with 08879 (WSSK) which was being loaded for transport away mid this afternoon. It is not known what (if anything) has replaced 09106 at Hams Hall but 08623 (WNYX) from Crewe EMD is a possibility as this was recently released from maintenance. 08799 (WNYX) has been moved from Toton to Crewe, it left Toton yesterday and was noted on site at the EMD this morning.

Sandwiched between 66155 and 66176 on this afternoon's 6G45 Toton to Bescot working were Euroshed 66211 (WBEN) and stored 67011 (WNWX).

In top and tail mode either side of a rake of Motorail vans 56087 (COLO) and 86701 (ETLO), the latter making its debut in full Colas Railfreight colours, undertook the trial runs between Rugby and Milton Keynes today. 

0Z30 vice 0X30...
Tomorrow's locomotive transfer north from Dollands Moor has been recoded to 0Z30 from 0X30 and the drop off at Burton has been omitted from the schedule. The times (see right) are as before through to the Burton area then slightly earlier for the last leg to Toton.

Whether any Eurosheds are returned to the UK in time to join Kingsbury bound 37800 and 37884 (both WZKS) on tomorrow's convoy remains to be seen - the 66s would obviously be going through to Toton...

With the Burton drop off being removed from the schedule 37703 37714 37716 and 37718 (all WZKS) are to remain at Dollands Moor. It had been mooted that these four were to go to Burton for HNRC. There had been *rumours* of possible hire to GBRf, but there's been no developments on this front.

87s to return...
87017 and 87023 (both EPXS) are to be returned to Long Marston from Willesden on the 26th. No times to hand as yet but it is understood the convoy will be running under the headcode 0Z87 and is WCRC operated.

The three 37s left in Spain...
Although mooted some time ago that they may no longer be with us it has now been confirmed that 37799 37801 and 37883 have indeed been broken up and that their disposals took place early December 2011 at Vilafranca, Barcelona.

Dutch 66s for GBRf...
Further to yesterday's report regarding the Euro 66s heading to the UK it has been indicated that the locomotives are 20078968-004/006 & 007 and that the three locomotives are completely unused. A link to a picture of the three Euro Class 66s parked up in Holland has been provided, it can be viewed here. 

Ex Spanish 37s to move from Dollands Moor...
Another schedule, the last time was cancelled, has been put in place for movement of the Dollands Moor ex Spanish hire Class 37s. Running as 0X30 again from Dollands Moor to Toton via Wembley, Kingsbury and Burton. There's probably going to be some Eurosheds in the train as well. A quick survey of the WBEN pool shows 66049 66064 and 66226 at Frethun this morning.

56094 (COLO) and 86701 (ETLO) have run from Washwood Heath to Rugby this morning. There is a trial run, top and tail, scheduled to run tomorrow between Rugby and Milton Keynes.

On the move from Tamworth today, it was noted on the A68 in the Darlington area this evening, but it has been ascertained that 31454 (HTLX) is destined to go to Wolsingham on the Weardale Railway.

RHTT operations survey...
Besides the WBSN allocated Class 66s and 67017, four WBES Eurosheds - 66045 66062 66223 and 66245, are engaged on RHTT operations for DBS. From the WBST trio 66017 and 66019 are on RHTT work, 66001 was at Westbury this morning on other freight duties.

The 20/3s are keeping themselves occupied on the Yorkshire based diagrams off York whilst the RHTT run across from Carlisle to the North East and back is being operated by a pair of Class 37s. This one was a pair of Class 57s initially. The S&C run is still being covered by a pair of Class 66s.

Network Rail's 57305 57306 and 57310 are still engaged in the Stowmarket operation alongside a number of DRS Class 57s. 57007 and 57011 took a RHTT set to Crown Point this morning for maintenance, this ran as a 6Z working.

GBRf have 66742 66743 66744 and 66745, four of the GBRT allocated Class 66s, on RHTT work whilst 97302 and 97303 are engaged working from Crewe on the Welsh diagram.

70014 (DFGH) suffered an electrical fire - the fire has been described as minor, more of a smoulder - whilst working this morning's 6F65 Portbury to East Usk train and had to be rescued by 66602. Before being towed away from East Usk 70014's status showed N/FRE OK 25/12 pending an inspection of the locomotive. The latest indication regarding 70099 (DHLT) moving on from Crewe to Loughborough is that this will take place on the morning of the 23rd.

66118 at Toton has been returned to the WNTR pool from WFMU. 90020 has been stored WNTR at Crewe EMD swapping with 90021 which has been reinstated to the WEFE pool from WNTR at Crewe EMD.

No news yet regarding its transfer from Crewe to Loughborough other than it looks set to be spending the weekend at Crewe Basford Hall where it currently resides. 70099 has been reallocated from MBDL to Freightliner's DHLT pool. This is to facilitate its transfer about the UK system by Freightliner. Once at Brush Traction 70099 will be undergoing a number of tests and evaluations. In the longer term, whilst it is known that GBRf have an interest in it, recent indications infer that Colas may also have an interest as well...

The arrival of 08742 at Hoo has displaced 08995 (WSSK) which has been observed heading north on the M6 near Coventry late this afternoon on a low loader. 08995 is assigned for a C exam at Mossend. Freightliner have swapped two Class 08s. 08530 (DFLS) has been transported from Tilbury to LH Group Services at Barton under Needwood swapping with 08531 (DFLS) which has been despatched from there to Tilbury.

The SUDKAP conveying 70099 (MBDL) to the UK has arrived. It entered Newport Docks shortly after 8PM. The Sudkap had been making its way up the Bristol Channel today. At 14:00 the ship was north of Barnstaple heading east Newport and by 19:15 was approaching Newport.

It has been indicated that the ship bringing 70099 (MBDL) to the UK is set to dock at Newport sometime tomorrow (revised) and that 70099 will be unloaded the following day. Transfer from Newport to Brush Traction at Loughborough, which is to be undertaken by Freightliner, and looks to be via Crewe, to be arranged.

Besides 60010 at Toton and 60024 at Eastleigh which are allocated to the WSSK pool 60011 at Oxford and 60035 at Doncaster Belmont, both currently allocated to the WCAK pool, are on hire to the WSSK shunt pool.

Running approximately two hours late throughout 31601 has taken 33108 45133 and 50026 from the Severn Valley Railway to the Midland Railway Centre. At the time of writing there was no sign of the second part of the transfer which was 0Z32 from the Midland Railway Centre on through to Barrow Hill.

Chopper swap...?
20096 20107 20311 and 20314 (all GBEE) have run north from Peterborough to Barrow Hill this afternoon. There is a return path in for the Class 20s to return to Peterborough tomorrow to resume LU stock transfers on the 10th. On the assumption there is to be a swap of traction at Barrow Hill there is a *possibility* that tomorrow could see 20901 and 20905 - the repainting of the latter into GBRf colours should be complete by now - making their debut in the GBRf colour scheme.

The loss of 60071 to store at Toton leaves the fleet total at 18 strong. 60010 has been released to traffic from Toton and was en route, albeit failed and in tow behind a Class 66, to St Pancras when the survey was taken. 60011 and 60024 are still at Oxford and Eastleigh, their shunt duty locations, although both now allocated to the WCAK pool. 60035 has emerged from Toton but was on repairs at Doncaster this morning. 

RHTT locomotive survey...
Locomotives engaged on or on hand for RHTT workings this morning. North Yorkshire is being serviced by the DRS Class 20/3 fleet, last year's Choppers now engaged in moving underground stock.

East Anglia has a fleet of Class 57s from DRS and Network Rail out based at Stowmarket. 57004 and 57009 are looking after one of the diagrams off Carlisle, the S&C run is yet to be resourced but will probably be a pair of Class 66s.

The DBS dedicated RHTT allocation is covering several locations - St Blazey, Didcot, Bristol and Margam. Of the WBSN fleet all were on hand for RHTT this morning except for 66127 which was working a normal service to Llanwern. In addition to the WBSN fleet several Eurosheds from the WBES allocation are being utilised for RHTT work, these currently being 66045 66062 66223 and 66245. 67017 is covering Scottish duties.

GBRf had 66742 and 66744 out this morning on North London area workings whilst 66725 and 66743 have been noted attached to a RHTT set in the DB area at Peterborough

The Network Rail 97/3s are on hand at Crewe EMD ready to commence RHTT duties covering the Mid and North Wales diagram.

60010 at Toton has been reinstated to the WCBK from WNWX. 60040 has been stopped for attention at Toton and transferred to the WFMU pool whilst 60045 has been moved across from WCAI to WCAK. 60011 and 60024, latterly on shunt duties at Oxford and Eastleigh respectively, have both been reallocated from the WSSK shunter pool to the WCAK pool.

Crewe shunters...
It's been relatively quiet of late with Class 08s coming from/going to Crewe EMD for repairs but three Class 08s currently on site - 08623 08706 and 08742 (all WNYX) are (at the moment) showing as due ok in the coming week.

Ronnie repaint...
57601 (MBDL) is in the process of being repainted at Carnforth into standard WCRC colours from its unique 'reverse Fragonset' livery.

Royal WAG...
67005 at Crewe EMD has been reinstated from WNTR to the WATN pool.

WBSN/WBST...
66039 and 66127 have been reallocated to the WBSN RHTT pool swapping with 66119 and 66210 which have been transferred out to the normal traffic pools and reallocated to WBAI. 66001 66017 and 66019, the trip cock fitted trio - in reality some angle iron welded to the bogie frames which suffices - have been reallocated from WBSN to the resurrected WBST pool.

08754...
Latterly at Tyseley 08754 (RMSX) is currently at Allely's, Studley.

Tugwatch...
60011 is also now in the WCAK pool having being reallocated from WSSK but has arrived at Oxford for shunt duties. Reinstated 60035 is showing 'normal' status but has yet to venture out from Toton. It had been in store since December 2009.

66412 on the move...
Escorted by 66513 and 66519 from York this afternoon 66412 (DFEP) has been moved to Leeds Midland Road.

Les to Carnforth...
86259 (MBEL) has run north from Willesden to Carnforth on a retimed 0Z86 schedule. It left Willesden shortly before 9am arriving at WCRC Carnforth mid afternoon. It is booked to return south, to Soho, on the 8th.

Derby/Washwood Heath and Kidderminster...
56311 (HTLX) took 50026 (CFOL) and 56091 (HTLX) from Derby to Washwood Heath then hauled 50026 and 31601 from Washwood Heath to Kidderminster to join in the Severn Valley Railway's three day Diesel Gala which got underway today.

DBS changes...
60045 has been reinstated to the WFMU pool from WNTR at Toton and 66138 is reinstated to the WBSN pool (one of several, see below), also from WNTR at Toton. 90018 from WNTR at Crewe EMD has been reinstated to the WEFE pool but 67015 at Crewe EMD and 90036, still in traffic, have been stored WNTR. 

66412/70099...
Its deferred trip to Poland looks to be back on the agenda - the status of 66412 (DFEP) at York being changed from 'stored unserviceable' to 'transfer' recently. Meanwhile the elusive 70099 (MBDL) looks set to appear in the UK later this month (not sure what happened to the earlier indication that it would be here mid to late September) following 'advice' to "watch for something sailing from Istanbul to Newport in the coming weeks...".

Eurosheds and Sandite 66s/67...
66033 and 66064 (both WBEN) have completed their transfer to Toton. 66045 66062 and 66245 have been reallocated from the WFMS pool to WBES along with 66223 which is transferred from the WBEN pool. Besides the reinstatement of 66138 to the WBSN pool several other Class 66s, including 66001 66017 and 66019, the three trip cock enabled Class 66s, have been transferred into the WBSN pool which now totals thirteen Class 66s and one Class 67.

60011 has been released from Toton to Didcot and is now in the WSSK shunting pool from WFMU. 60045 at Toton is now WFMU following reinstatement whilst 60074 has been reallocated to WFMU having been stopped at Toton.

DRS notes...
Two convoys of DRS locomotives on the move today. 47828 (XHAC) worked south from Crewe to Eastleigh with 47802 and 47818 (both XHAC) in tow. 57002 57003 57004 57007 and 57008 (all XHCK) have ran from Carlisle Kingmoor to York from where they pick up RHTT equipment and continue through to Stowmarket tomorrow.

QADD 57/3s for RHTT...
57305 57306 and 57310 (all QADD) have been despatched to Stowmarket, the trio running light engines from Eastleigh for RHTT/Sandite workings this autumn.

DRS changes/notes...
20309 and 37261, both currently out of use at Carlisle Kingmoor, have been stored XHSS. 47501 and 47813 (both XHAC) have been released from Eastleigh Works and have made their way up to Crewe Gresty Bridge. Noted hurtling along the WCML today with bagged over nameplates (bagged over until the covering blew off that is) was 57302 (XHAC).

It's officially autumn...
DBS have resurrected the WBSN sandite/RHTT pool and seven locomotives have been allocated to it - 66011 66027 66084 66086 66094 and 66126 along with 67017. The DRS Stowmarket contingent this year is to be bolstered with the inclusion of three Network Rail 57/3s.

moving from York today, not yesterday evening as anticipated, 56311 ran south, only as far as Derby this morning, with 50026 (CFOL) and 56091 (HTLX) in tow.

Register and a new pool...
Several late entries from last month. 08754 has been reallocated to the RMSX pool, a new pool for RMS Locotec Class 08s. Besides the re-registration of 40013, 37075 has been re-registered with the MBEL pool and 87031, scrapped last autumn at Kingsbury, has now been de-registered from the MBEL pool. 

Eurosheds & WFMS...
66033 and 66064 (both WBEN) were located at Doncaster Belmont this afternoon en route to Toton. 66045 66062 and 66245 at Toton have been reallocated from WBEN to the WFMS pool whilst 66109 which was latterly the solitary member of WFMS has been reallocated to the WFMU pool.

Today's convoys...
56311 worked north from the Nene Valley Railway to York via the GCRN where 25279 and 47765 were dropped off, 37350 50026 55002 and 56091 going through to York where 37350 and 55002 were returned to the NRM. It has been indicated that 50026 has been added to the line up for the SVR gala. It is due to get to Washwood Heath via Derby tonight thence on to Washwood Heath in the morning (times right). The other convoy today was to Kidderminster for the Severn Valley Railway Diesel Gala. 37905 has been dropped from the line up, the SVR website has now been amended, consequently the first leg of today's transfers didn't need to visit Burton to collect Slug 5. 31602 ran light direct from Derby to Barrow Hill to collect 33108 thence on to the Midland Railway Centre for 45133 before continuing through to the SVR.

Freightliner at Hoo...
No sign of 66414 66416 or 66418 in the area (yet?) but 66535 (DFGM) along with 66564 and 66569 (both DFIM) were despatched to the locality over the weekend and have taken up duties on workings from Hoo to Whitemoor (mainly) and Eastleigh today. 66535 took this mornings 6L37 working from Hoo to Whitemoor whilst 66569 was deployed to the afternoon 6Y42 working to Eastleigh.
