WSSL...
The DBS Logistics sector now has a few shunters. The pool code WSSL
has been created and 08623 08757 08802 along with 09106 have been
reallocated to it from the WSSK pool.
Tugs...
60063 (WNWX) was despatched from Toton to Immingham yesterday
afternoon as a test run and to collect 60099 (WCAI) and bring it back to
Toton. 60099 has been busy shunting the stored Class 60s in Toton Yard this
morning.
DBS changes...
66113 at Toton has been reinstated to the WFMU pool from WNTR however
66050 66088 66118 and 66161, all at Toton, and 92012 at Crewe EMD have been stored WNTR.
66183 has been reallocated to the WSSK shunter pool from WFMU. DBS currently
have three mainline locomotives in the WSSK pool; 60039 66083 and 66183. |

Toton...
37402 and 37405 (both WNSO) have been returned to the Compound. They
have sat on the line adjacent to the paint facility for the past few weeks
from where they could have been removed by road. Evidently their transfer to
Barrow Hill has been deferred/cancelled. There has been a lot of activity in
the Yard where the stored Class 60s have been shunted around this morning,
recently overhauled 60063 (still WNWX) being utilised. It is understood that
several of the Class 60s from the Yard are to go over to the depot swapping
with several stored Class 60s that are to be moved out across to the Yard.
Noted at the end of the shunting manoeuvres this morning were 60032 60050
60060 60086 and 60088 (all WNWX) piped up together ready for transfer across
to the shed.
DBS changes...
60039 recently despatched to Eastleigh for shunting duties has been
reinstated from WNTR to the WSSK pool whilst 60045 has been reinstated to
WCAI from WNTR at Toton. 66001 66083 and 66091 have been
stored WNTR at Toton swapping with 66105 and 66156 which are reinstated to
WBBI and WBAK respectively from WNTR at Toton while 67008 and 67016 have
been stored WNTR at Crewe EMD.
Freightliner transfer...
After being moved from Liverpool to Crewe on the 18th 70019 and 70020
(both now DFGI) they were taken across to Leeds this morning where they were
joined by 66412 (DHLT) and forwarded to York by 66531. Whilst the Class 70s
are to be commissioned at York 66412 is being prepared for shipping out for
use in Poland.
DRS transfer...
Running as 0Z26 37259 (XHSS) has hauled 47805 (XHHP) from Barrow Hill
to Crewe Gresty Bridge. There was no working conveying anything from Crewe
to Barrow Hill. |

At EMR, Kingsbury the disposal of 08664, stored from the WSSN pool in
June 2008, has been undertaken, RIP.More 57s fro
DRS...?
Its looking like DRS are to acquire three more Class 57s, three from
the 57/3 series.
DRS transfer Monday...
There is a transfer between Crewe and Barrow Hill and back in place
for the 20th. Presumably to collect 37259 and anything else (47805?) coming
out following repairs at Barrow Hill. It is not know if anything is being
moved over from Crewe. |

DBS changes...
59201 and 66187 at Toton for painting/repairs respectively have been
stored WNTR. 67029 from WNTR at Toton has been reinstated to the WAAN pool.
It and its attendant Driving Van Trailer have had their three beasties logos
replaced by large DB transfers.DRS notes...
37259 (XHSS) at Barrow Hill is showing 'normal' status indicating
that it is ready to go. It and 47805 (XHHP) should be collected shortly.
Inside the shed bodywork repairs have been underway on 37425 (XHHP) and a
repaint into DRS livery to follow.
Eastleigh paint jobs...
47813 (XHHP) is rubbed down ready for repainting, into Northern Belle
colours being mooted some time ago. 47853 (RTLO) is still in base DRS blue
awaiting the application of decals. 66742 (GBHL) is part way through its
change from Colas to GB Railfreight. 08933 is now in Mendip Rail ex EWS and
57310 (QADD) is in Network Rail Yellow, the last of the six transferred to
Network Rail to be repainted. |
