Farewell do's...

Web watch...
Nemesis Rail now have a presence on the web, albeit both sites being devoid of content other than a home page, with the appearance of both nemesisrail.com and nemesisrail.co.uk. A third website, also traceable to the same source, an ex FM Rail director, called ramtrain.co.uk, has also appeared. Freightliner on the other hand would appear to be branching out down under with the appearance of Freightliner Australia, a web page that, for the time being, redirects back to the main Freightliner UK site. Of course if Class 66s go to work in Australia they will have to be reclassified as Class 99s... (I'll get my coat).

07/05/07

43126 (EFPC) is back in traffic following re-commissioning at Landore being noted in use on the 5th.
47219 is, as far as can be ascertained, the unidentified Class 47 recently delivered to Kingsbury from MoD Kineton thus leaving 47201 47226 47307 and 47314 awaiting transfer to Kingsbury.
56034, earlier mentioned as heading for Kingsbury at some point, is now to go to Booth's at Rotherham it has been indicated. Also understood to be Booth's bound from Brush Traction at Loughborough are 56044 56063 and 56131 which puts an end to any speculation that Jarvis / Fastline are going to have any of these overhauled to join 56301 and 56302 on the mainline. 56303 is of course leased in, and the hired in contingent appears to be on the verge of being expanded with the news doing the rounds that 56057 has been bought from preservation with a return to mainline use in mind. 56304 perhaps...?

06/05/07

56078 (WZGF) is the 'grid' at Dollands Moor recently returned from France with 58035. With just 56106 to be returned now it was almost a case of the first out being the last back, as on September 9th 2004 56078 and 58046 were the first to be despatched abroad for the TGV hire contract.

05/05/07

90021 (WNTS) has been out on test, noted returning to Crewe EMD yesterday.

Kingsbury arrivals and current disposition...

Row 1: 20145 37678 47742 47335 47228 UID47 47293 37803 (the cabs and various other bits from 47721 47722 & 47789 remain near to 37678 and 47742)
Row 2: 47313 31421 47360 47186 47280
Row 3: 47
737 47733 47734 47750 47749

Disposals...
The policy with regards the disposal of Class 47s at Kingsbury seems to be to cut right through behind the bogie then demolish the centre portion leaving the cab ends for processing later. The despatch of 47789 has already had a mention so here its time to record the end of 47721 stored from Toton and the WHTN pool in April 2002 and 47722 stored from Toton and the ILRA pool in March 2002, RIP.

French returnees...
It's been a while since any EWS TGV hire locomotives were returned from France, only 56078 56106 and 58035 have been waiting repatriation, but one of the Class 56s, as yet unidentified, and 58035 have returned being noted in the yard at Dollands Moor today.

Kingsbury...

47488 (MBDL) at Carnforth is understood to have been sold and a return to mainline use may be in the offing.
66246 (WBEN) went through the tunnel to France this morning whilst 66241 (WBEN) went abroad a few days ago.

Disposal...
At Kingsbury the demolition of 47789 is as good as complete, only a cab and some residual debris remained at the close of play today, and a start has been made on the scrapping of 37678. 47789 was put to store from Crewe's WHCD pool in January 2004, RIP.
