Of note is that 57007 57008 57009 57010 and 57012 are still showing S (stored) status on the 'system'. 57002 and 57003, the two rumoured to be Long Marston bound at some point although the unconfirmed word from Porterbrook is that the 57s are staying with Freightliner until at least January 2008, are currently X status.

47488...

Tugs binned...
It may technically be summer, the current weather situation certainly doesn't support this supposition, but the Class 60 requirement has been reduced slightly and five Class 60s; 60010 60015 60022 60036 and 60042 have been stored WNTR. 60015 is located at Doncaster Carr, the others are at Immingham.

Metrolink shunters part 2...
08623 (WNTR), recently noted returned to use at Toton, has been shipped up to Manchester being deposited, along with 08802 (WRWM) from Allerton, in the Altrincham area for use on the repair and upgrade works on the southern sections of the Manchester Metrolink system. On the northern sections to Bury, work is now well underway, the low height restrictions are evidently not applicable to the whole of this line as, deputising for 08994 a few days ago, the East Lancashire Railway based 08445 had a trip out onto the network whilst 60083, still the resident Tug, often ventures out from the Buckley Wells operations site onto the Metrolink system.

Worcester 87s...
The forwarding from Worcester to Long Marston of 87006 87007 87008 and 87026 (all SBXL) is (subject to, well, anything) set to go ahead tomorrow.

37216...
It has been indicated that 37216, currently residing at Kingsbury, may be subject to a preservation bid.

Shunter notes...
It has been established that 08511 (WNSO) brought south from Ayr a couple of days ago has been deposited at Goodman's at Sutton Coldfield. Regarding reference to 08695 at Ayr and the note about Thomson's it has been pointed out that this one is reported to have been resold on and the Chasewater Railway has been mooted.

Disposal...
The cutting of 08806 at Thomson's, Stockton has been completed in the last few days, only its cab was in evidence this morning. 08806 was stored from the WSNE pool in June 2001, RIP.

87s on coal...
87022 and 87028 (both GBAC) hauled a rake of new GBRf coal hoppers, running as 4Z77, from Willesden to Doncaster via the ECML this morning.
