Noted en route to York yesterday evening 60074 (WFMU) has been out shopped in a light blue colour scheme bearing the logo 'DB Schenker ' along with, for the forthcoming do at the NRM, a logo for the Teenage Cancer Trust. Whether this livery is a one off or is to be adopted throughout the fleet remains to be seen but comments in this press release from December on the DB Schenker Poland website would appear to suggest the spread of a unified corporate identity. Former Millerhill resident 47747 (RTLO) has been brought south, initially to Carlisle yesterday then overnight from Carlisle to Crewe. 47848 and 47853 were utilised for its transfer.

After an overnight stop over at Heanor, Langley Mill 37673 (WNSO) completed its journey from Thornaby to Kingsbury this morning.

MTU...
43034 (EFPC) has been noted back in traffic following re-commissioning at Landore.

Kingsbury bound 37673 (WNSO) has been collected from Tees Yard / Thornaby and is on its way south by road today being noted traversing the A1M near Wetherby mid afternoon.

37689 / 37695...
A transfer of a stored Class 37 from Healey Mills to Doncaster took place overnight last night with 67003 hauling 37689 (WNXX) east in the early hours. The movement of 37689, which has yet to be offered for sale, is best described as being a mix up as Hulls, Rotherham bound 37695 (WNSO) should have been taken.

37708...
Running several hours later than advertised the transfer of 37708 (WNSO) from Healey mills to Booths, Rotherham took place mid afternoon with WCRC locomotives 47787 and 57601 being utilised.

60074...
Due to be the centre piece of a 'bit of a do' at the NRM 60074 (WFMU) is scheduled to run north from Toton to York this evening. Toton 19:00, Chesterfield 19:40, Swinton 20:11, Church Fenton 21:00, York 21:37.

Healey Mills...
Third time lucky it was as 47475 (now HNRS) has been removed from Healey Mills at the third attempt. In the end 20901 and 20905 were utilised taking 47475 north to Stockton mid afternoon before returning south to Barrow Hill with some wagons for Advenza. 37708 (WNSO) is due to be collected tomorrow morning for rail movement from Healey Mills to Rotherham, booked off Healey Mills at 11:30 with WCRC traction, whilst it has been suggested / indicated that to get 37695 (WNSO) out EWS may be considering hauling it to Doncaster from where it can be taken by road from to Hulls, Rotherham.

66131...
Conspicuous by its absence, 66131 (WFMU) languishing out of use at Toton, it has been sidelined for a year this month, finds itself joining 66031 on the storage lists. 66031 and 66131 have been allocated to the WFMU pool since April last year when the pool was created.

47799...
Following a brief stop off at Wembley 47799 (WNXX) has completed its transfer to Old Oak Common.

08054...
The Embsay & Bolton Abbey Railway has gained another shunter following the transfer in for preservation of 08054 from the nearby Swinden Quarry, Grassington.

Outage...
Pleased be advised that the site host will be taking the site offline for upgrading work at some point between 23:00 tomorrow evening and 05:00 the following morning.

Compound Additions...
At Toton four locomotives have been moved into the Compound, two of which are firsts for their respective types, with 08593 08689 60001 (all WNTS) and 66031 (WFMU) being noted parked on the dead end line to the south of the spares stores building this morning.

Another Healey Mills Departure...?
Besides the planned extraction, third time lucky perhaps, of 47475 (WNSO) pencilled in for tomorrow it has been indicated that Rotherham bound 37708 (WNSO) maybe removed by rail, due to go on the 28th, with haulage being provided by WCRC.

47s...
47799 (WNXX) is on the move again having made its way from Toton to Bescot yesterday it was reported to be in the consist of this evening's 6T82 whilst 47832 (XHHP), now in unbranded DRS blue, has been taken up to Kingmoor from Carnforth.

NR 37s...
97301 (QETS) has been handed over to Network Rail and ran from Barrow Hill to Loughborough today for weighing in as part of its acceptance tests whilst at Barrow Hill the overhaul of 37178 (QETS), the second Class 37 / 97/3 for NR and probably to become 97302, is ahead of schedule.

Wednesday...
The collection of 20901 20905 (for Barrow Hill) and 47475 (for Stockton) from Healey Mills has been scheduled to take place on the 27th.

Stock Notes...
37418 recently collected from Toton has been de-registered whilst 37696 now at Long Marston following transfer from Bristol Barton Hill a few days ago has been reallocated from WNSO to the HNRS storage pool.

37418...
Ultimately Bury bound 37418 (WNSO) was transported to Allely's, Studley yesterday where it is to be held for a few weeks prior to going to Barrow Hill for attention. After its visit to Barrow Hill 37418 is to be moved on to the East Lancashire Railway, its arrival there is expected to be sometime from late April onwards.

37696...
Transferred by road 37696 (WNSO) has made it move from Bristol Barton Hill to Long Marston.

Thought to be East Lancashire Railway bound 37418 (WNSO) is on the move by road having being collected from Toton and removed late this morning.

37079...
Its sale into preservation has been cancelled following the theft of its main generator cables even though replacement cables have been made available. Workshop space at Barrow Hill is at a premium at the moment hence HNRC not being able to refit the replacement cables. 37079 is being made available for sale but only until the end of the month. 47475...
Its move north from Healey mills has been deferred again, 20901 burst a water pipe yesterday and was unable to continue.

Having completed its transfer north from Eastleigh to Rotherham 37519 has been unloaded at Booths.

Disposal...
At Booths, Rotherham the demolition of 37513, stored from Toton and WKMS November 2000, has been undertaken, RIP.

MTU...
Nearly there now. 43015 and 43034 (both EFPC) have been released from re-engineering at Brush Traction, haulage west to Landore being effected by 57006 this morning.

67s...
67015 (WNTS) has been out shopped in Wrexham & Shropshire livery at Toton whilst 67020 and 67021 (both WNTS) have been moved from Toton to Crewe EMD and Old Oak Common respectively.

Still There...
The scheduled morning collection of 47475 (WNSO) from Healey Mills has not taken place however 20901 and 20905 had arrived at Healey Mills from Hope, mid afternoon, somewhat later than planned.

92010...
On the move again. Following its recent foray to the south and back to Crewe 92010 (WNWX) has again been despatched south and via Wembley and Dollands Moor has made it across to France.

DRS Notes...
37601 and 37603 currently at Brush Traction, Loughborough have been reallocated from GPSV to the DRS XHHP holding pool.

37519...
Loaded and removed from Eastleigh Yard this morning, yesterday's report proving a tad premature, 37519 is on its way north to Rotherham being noted on the A34 near Oxford at lunchtime then on the M1 in Leicestershire mid afternoon en route to Booths.

37696 / 47475...
Both are, usual disclaimers notwithstanding, due to be on the move tomorrow. 37696 (WNSO) is due to be moved by road from Bristol Barton Hill to Long Marston whilst a second attempt will be made at getting 47475 (WNSO) transferred from Healey Mills to Stockton tomorrow morning with 20901 and 20905 being utilised for the move.

37519 currently en route to Rotherham from Eastleigh has been de-registered whilst 37704 at Gloucester awaiting forwarding to Long Marston has been re-registered and allocated to the HNRS pool.

Booth's Bound...
37519 (WNSO) has been collected from Eastleigh Yard for transfer north by road to Booth's at Rotherham.

Re-numberings & De-registrations...
97301 (QETS) at Barrow Hill is now officially to be referred to as such following its renumbering from 37100 meanwhile 37677 at Booth's and 37704 at Gloucester have been de-registered from WNSO and WNTS respectively. Obviously 37704 will have to be re-registered prior to completing its transfer to Long Marston.

43123...
Having spent the weekend at Allely's Yard, it was collected from DML Devonport on Friday last, 43123 (GCHP), the last Grand Central power car to be released to Heaton, was brought north on a low loader this morning.

47787...
After OTMR fitment at Carnforth 47787 (MBDL) has been restored to the operational fleet.

67s...
It has been indicated that 67029 plus DVT set is to commence training runs for the forthcoming Wrexham & Shropshire rail venture whilst 67015 (WNTS) has been admitted into the paint shop at Toton for repainting into Wrexham & Shropshire Rail livery. Dreadful...
Swift Rail have advised that 86233 (SRLO), currently being worked on at Oxley, preparations for a return to mainline running are in hand and a trip to Crewe EMD at some point appears to be in the pipeline, is to be named 'The Chief'.

More 37/4s Saved...
It's looking like Motherwell residents 37409 and 37430 (both WNSO) are to evade a trip to the scrap man whilst the ownership of 37424 (WNSO), also currently at Motherwell, has changed. The original purchaser appears to have pulled out but the locomotive looks set to remain with the private sector. More later no doubt...

Prince Henry on the Move...
On the second leg of its transfer from Ferrybridge to Old Oak Common 60020 has escorted 47799 (WNXX) from Doncaster Carr to Toton.

Disposal...
The scrapping of 37420 (WNSO) at Hull's, Rotherham is as good as complete, only its frame and the remains of one cab were in evidence this morning. 37420 was stored from Crewe and the WKCD pool back in July 2000, RIP.

GCHP Power Cars...
Two Grand Central sets have been out in the past few days with the second set, albeit on commissioning turns, employing 43068 and 43084. 43065 was returned to Heaton from Crewe Works a few days ago whilst the transfer north of 43123 from DML Devonport to Heaton is imminent.

CR Notes...
57006 (CRRH) ran south from Scotland to Gloucester today after leaving 57005 at Kilmarnock for livery attention meanwhile 47375 (CRRH) took 20901 and 20905 (both HNRL) up from Gloucester to LaFarge at Hope before heading up to Healey Mills to collect 47475 (WNSO) which is waiting transfer to Thomson's, Stockton but due to problems with 47475 this movement didn't go ahead and is now deferred for a few days. 47375 has ran on to York solo.

Advenza 57s...
57006 (CRRH) has been released from Brush-Barclay, Kilmarnock and its first job was to collect and transfer a failed 57005, starter motor issues, from Craigentinny to Kilmarnock. It is anticipated that 57006 will be making its way south tomorrow.

Work in Progress...
At Booth's, Rotherham the component recovery and cutting of 37513 and 37677 has begun.

47715...
Former NRM incumbent 47715, recently sold into preservation, has been out and about on test on the Wensleydale Railway undertaking a successful test run from Leeming Bar to Bedale and back.

Mainline / Nemesis Rail selling locomotives...?
There are *unconfirmed rumours* doing the rounds indicating that several locomotives are being touted for sale by Mainline Rail / Nemesis Rail. Two Class 31s (two from the four at Long Marston), three Class 56s (these will be 56011 56021 & 56022) and two Class 73s (possibly 73104 & 73139) have been mentioned...

Prince Henry...
As was anyway, its plates have been removed. 47799 (WNXX) has been tripped from Ferrybridge to Doncaster this morning for forwarding to Old Oak Common for train heating duties.

37704 & 37898...
Following its stay over at Bristol Temple Meads 37704 (WNTS) has been dragged up to Gloucester, 20901 and 20905 being utilised before being despatched back to South Wales to collect 37898 (HNRS). Eventually 47375 got in on the act and 37898 was hauled up from Margam to Gloucester in convoy with a coach and the two 'choppers' in tow for brake force. 37704 and 37898 look set to lay over until next week at Gloucester as currently there is a problem with the track leading into Long Marston which needs to be resolved. 20901 and 20905 are to return north shortly as the ballast runs for LaFarge resume overnight on the 15th with the 6Z91 22:27 Earls Sidings to Mountsorrel and 6Z98 03:51return workings.

XC Power Cars...
43007 43178 and 43184 (all EHPC) were hauled north from Neville Hill to Craigentinny today, initially by 47237 from Leeds to York before handing over to 57005 for the remainder of the journey to Edinburgh. With 57005 in Scotland a swap for 57006 at Brush-Barclay, Kilmarnock is set to take place.

Eastleigh Shunt...
As road access to extract 37519 (WNSO) from the depot area at Eastleigh has proved impossible EWS have tripped 37519 out to the nearby yard from where it can be collected for road transfer north to Booth's at Rotherham.

37s on the Road...
Following a stop over at Heanor, Langley Mill 37055 was delivered to Kingsbury yesterday whilst 37677 (WNSO) has been removed from Immingham and transported to Booth's, Rotherham today.

XC Power Cars...
Craigentinny bound 43007 43178 and 43184 (all EHPC) have been hauled from Wabtec, Doncaster at least to Neville Hill today, 47237 was provided.

37673...
Kingsbury bound 37673 (WNSO) has been moved into position for collection at Thornaby.

Towed by 57005 from Gloucester to Butterley 47761 (MBDL) has completed its transfer to the Midland Railway Centre, Butterley.

56311...
Part re-liveried into Hanson Traction colours at Derby it has been indicated that 56057 (MBDL) will become 56311 when ready to be returned to the mainline.

WBEN...
The WBEN Euroshed pool has been increased to 55 with the addition to the fleet of 66235. Since the last WBEN survey, several weeks ago, 66072 66195 66224 and 66234 have been despatched abroad whilst 66026 66052 and 66245 are back in the UK. Of the 55 Class 66s currently allocated to the WBEN pool nine examples are currently in the UK; 66026 and 66191 at Toton, 66052 at Wembley, 66210 66214 66235 and 66240 at Crewe EMD, 66225 was on its way south today from Crewe whilst 66245 could be found at Dollands Moor on the 8th. The other 46 WBEN Class 66s are over on the continent showing the neighbours how its done...

Further to the earlier report regarding 37704 (WNTS) being moved up from Margam to Long Marston it has been advised that it didn't go through to Gloucester as anticipated but has instead spent the weekend at Bristol Temple Meads with 20901 and 20905.

92010...
Hauled up from Dollands Moor to Wembley in the early hours of the 8th 92010 (WNWX) has since been returned to store at Crewe EMD. It is not clear if 92010 has been across to France in the last week or so or if it had remained at Dollands Moor.

Disposals...
EMR have been busy at Kingsbury again, three more disposals to report. 37429 37505 and 37897, the latter of which was being demolished today, have been taken apart in the past few days. So its RIP for 37429, stored from Crewe DMD and WKAD back in October 2002, RIP for 37505 stored from Toton and WKMS December 2000 and RIP for 37897 stored from Toton and WKGN in March 2000.

47475...
The anticipated transfer of 47475 (WNSO) from Healey Mills to Stockton has been deferred for a few days.

37055...
Noted at Tibshelf Services on the M1 this morning 37055 (WNSO) has been brought south today by road from Thornaby to Heanor's at Langley Mill for forwarding to Kingsbury.

Margam Extraction...
37704 (WNTS) has been recovered from Margam and hauled to Gloucester to await forwarding to Long Marston. HNRC duo 20901 and 20905, crewed by Advenza were utilised for the transfer. 37898 (HNRS) was to have been recovered with 37704 today but in the event only 37704 made the move. Fellow recent Margam intern 47761 (now MBDL) is still at Gloucester awaiting transfer on the the MRC.

37372...
Following an inspection at Barrow Hill and being re-started (!) HNRC have re-evaluated the future for 37372 and it's now not going to be stripped for spares. The damaged cab end is superficial in nature and can easily be repaired. It *may* seem there might be an increased requirement for yellow 37s on the proverbial horizon (perhaps, maybe).

47712...
After a year or so in the wilderness 47712 which worked south with 47501 and 47802 from Kingmoor to Crewe today has been reinstated to the XHNC pool.

67s & 92016...
67016 and 67017 have been reinstated to WAAN. They left Toton yesterday and were hauled south from Bescot to Wembley in convoy with 66126 67029 and 92003 overnight however 92016, a recent addition to WFMU at Crewe EMD, has now been stored WNTS. The 67s will be needed for the forthcoming training exercises in advance of the to be Class 67 hauled Wrexham services.

Thomson's Bound...
Two HNRC Class 47s are awaiting transfer to Thomson's, Stockton for component recovery and disposal. 47475 (WNSO) is set to go north tomorrow whilst 47703 (CRRH) still awaits collection and transfer over from the Wensleydale Railway. Advenza are to undertake both these moves.

37055...
At Thornaby Kingsbury bound 37055 (WNSO) has been shunted into position for collection.

57006...
Out shopped in Advenza Blue at Brush Traction, Kilmarnock 57006 (CRRH) is ready for collection.

De-registered / Re-registered...
37897 recently delivered to Kingsbury has been de-registered from the WNSO pool whilst 56057 at Derby being prepared for a return for Hanson Traction has been re-registered and allocated to the MBDL pool.

Another Can on the Mainline...
86259 (MBEL) undertook its mainline test from Oxley today, it had moved there for final preparations a few days ago from Tyseley, with 47773 in tow for insurance.

EWS Fleet Reduction...
08593 at Toton, 08933 at Hoo Junction along with 60073 and 60095 at Toton have been stored WNTS.

Kingsbury Escapees...
Following a brief stop over at Langley Mill 37372 was transported up to Barrow Hill early this morning whilst 37905 was extracted mid afternoon and transferred to the Battlefield Line, back into preservation.

Disposal...
A little late but it has been confirmed that 37051, stored from Toton and WKAD, was disposed of by Sims Metals shortly after arrival at Beeston last month, RIP.

Eurosheds +2...
66191 and 66240 have been added to the WBEN pool bringing the Euroshed fleet allocation up to 54.

MTU...
43143 (EFPC) was noted back in action on the 4th following re-commissioning at Landore whilst 43117 (IECP and subsequently renumbered to 43317) was deposited at Brush Traction yesterday prior to the departure of 43315.

Barrow Hill bound but not just yet 37372 extracted from Kingsbury yesterday has been deposited at Heanor's yard at Langley Mill.

37897...
Loaded and removed from sire by mid afternoon 37897 (WNSO) has been transported from Bescot to Kingsbury.

47761...
The 47401 Project's 47761 (WNSO) is on the move having being collected from Margam today by 57005. Ultimately MRC bound 47761 is thought to have been taken to Gloucester.

MTU...
43315 (IECP) has been released from re-engineering at Brush Traction being noted heading for Leeds with 43073, its escort power car, in tow this afternoon.

37s to Barrow Hill...
Noted on site this morning was 37170 (QETS) confirming its arrival from Langley Mill meanwhile 37372 was extracted from Kingsbury by road late afternoon for transfer to Barrow Hill.

DRS 47s Reinstated...
47501 and 47802 have been reinstated to the XHNC pool following the fitment of OTMR equipment.

67020...
Possibly to facilitate its recent move from Peterborough to Toton 67020 had been reinstated to WFMU from WNTS before being returned to the WNTS storage pool.

De-registrations...
37429 recently delivered to Kingsbury, 47033 and 47316 at Stockton have been de-registered from their respective WNSO and CREL pools.

On the Road...
43065 (GCHP) has completed its transfer by road to Crewe Works but 37170 (QETS) appears to still be at Heanor's however 37429 (WNSO) has been collected from Toton and transported to Kingsbury.

47832...
Set to go down in the annuls of history as another short lived livery Victa liveried 47832 (XHHP) has been transferred from Carlisle Kingmoor to Carnforth for a repaint by WCRC.

67020...
After a few weeks languishing at Peterborough 67020 (WNTS) was transferred to Toton on the 2nd.

Forthcoming Road Transfers...
A few road transfers anticipated to be taking place in the coming days; 37170 Heanor to Barrow Hill, 37198 Kingsbury to the South Devon Railway (perhaps), 37897 Bescot to Kingsbury, 37905 Kingsbury to the Battlefield Line and 43065 Heanor to Crewe.

On the Road...
37170 (QETS) has been transported from Long Marston to Heanor at Langley Mill to await forwarding to Barrow Hill for overhaul. Another arrival at Langley Mill is Grand Central power car 43065 (GCHP) which has stopped off whilst en route from Heaton to Crewe Works for attention. 08912 was extracted from Thomson's, Stockton yesterday and, reportedly at Thornaby for tyre turning, appears to be following 08807 recently sold to AV Dawson at Middlesbrough.

37401...
In action on today's 'Buffer Puffer' tour of the London area 37401's livery has been finished off with the addition of correct size numbers and EWS logos.

MTU...
43079 (EFPC) has been noted in traffic following re-commissioning at Landore.

Mungo Memorabilia...
Due for removal from the Wensleydale to Stockton shortly HNRC have advised that the cabs from 47703 are going to be carefully removed and made available for sale to preservation. The power unit is already sold to be reused by an Irish based company to (ironically) power a scrap yard fragmentiser.

Kingsbury Bound 37s...
Transferred south from Warcop slightly later than anticipated 37505 was unloaded at Kingsbury yesterday morning. At Bescot 37174 (WNSO) was loaded on to a road trailer yesterday afternoon for removal to Kingsbury, its transfer taking place this morning.

Class 92s...
For use with Europorte (not ECR as previously implied) two more Class 92s have been released from store at Crewe EMD with 92010 (WNWX) being noted at Wembley yesterday before being forwarded overnight to Dollands Moor and 92038 (WZGF) at Warrington. Meanwhile EWS have stored 92024 WNTS at Crewe EMD being swapped with 92034 which is reinstated to WFMU from store at Crewe EMD.

47703...
HNRC have advised that as a source of spares and for component recovery 47703 (CREL) currently residing on the Wensleydale Railway has been secured from Cotswold Rail.

Disposal...
The demolition of 47197 (DHLT), stored from the DFLH pool in October 2005, at Thomson's, Stockton has been completed, RIP.

De-registrations...
Several Class 37s have been deleted from the system. Kingsbury arrival 37174 and preserved 37250 along with 37517 37668 37710 and 37712 taken to Carnforth earlier in the week have all been de-registered from WNSO. In addition to these 'ghost' 37509 scrapped at Canton back in August 2005 has now been de-registered from the system. It had latterly been allocated to the WNYX component recovery pool.
