| "Celebrating 40 years of
steam on the Strathspey Railway between Aviemore and
Broomhill via Boat of Garten when 46464 ran for the first
time on the line. 46512 was given the identity of 46464 for
the occasion. The running shed and works is situated at
Aviemore and Boat of Garten used to store stock and
locomotives, at where 26002 and 26025 are stabled. Steam
alternated with diesel hourly during the day. The
Fishermen's Crossing location is where the railway is at its
closest with the River Spey on a bend of the river and can
be seen in the background of the shots so the foot crossing
lends it's name to the location..." |
